The genome sequence of the Haptophyte virus Prymnesium kappa virus RF01 was obtained using short (Illumina 2x300 bp) and long (Oxford Nanopore MinION) reads data. The genome was assembled using a hybrid assembly approach based on Newbler and Consed followed by polishing with Nanopolish and Pillon. The resulting genome has been annotated with extensive manual curation of automatically selected amino-acid alignment between the predicted genes and sequences in several public databases.
