Mitochondrial genome sequencing of Oikopleura dioica (Tunicata, Appendicularia) from Norway

Sequencing the mitochondrial genome of the tunicate, Oikopleura dioica, is a challenging task because of the presence of long poly A / poly T homopolymer stretches, which impair sequencing. These stretches were shown to be edited at the RNA level. In this study, we sequenced the mitochondrial genome of O. dioica from Norway by combining Illumina and MinIon Oxford Nanopore reads. Here we deposit the Illumina reads (from the whole genome) obtained for this project.
