资源简介:
EEG Dataset on the Effects of Interoception in Music Listening and Recall
This repository contains EEG data (in .fif format) and corresponding musical stimuli (in .wav format) used in an experiment studying brain responses during music recall. The dataset is intended to enable others to replicate or extend the analyses presented in our manuscript.
Contents
EEG Data
Format: MNE-Python .fif
Participants: 22 in total (mk1p–mk17p & mk18–mk22)
Each participant’s file includes multiple epochs (20 s each) that cover baseline, cue, music presentation, and a short post-music period.
Metadata (stimulus name, presentation order, and familiarity rating) is embedded in each .fif file.
Musical Stimuli
Format: .wav (44.1 kHz sampling rate)
Each file corresponds to a single music excerpt of 12.8 s, which aligns with the music portion in the EEG data.
Additional JSON Metadata
Format: .json
Contents:
Per-participant keys (e.g., "mk1p", "mk2p", etc.)
Gender, Age, IAcc Score (interoceptive accuracy), and a metadata field containing epoch-level information (familiarity, trial number, etc.)
The structure is designed to complement the .fif files, providing additional context about each participant (e.g., demographic info, interoceptive accuracy scores) not contained in the EEG files.
Experiment and Data Description
EEG Recording
Original Sampling Rate: 2048 Hz
Preprocessing:
Notch filter at 50 Hz
FIR bandpass filter (0.5–40 Hz)
Downsample to 256 Hz
Re-reference to the average of M1 and M2
ICA removal of ocular components (Pearson correlation > 0.9 with EOG signals)
Epoch extraction (20 s total per epoch):
4 s baseline
1 s standby
12.8 s music
2.2 s post-music standby
Musical Stimuli
Each .wav file is 12.8 s long and sampled at 44.1 kHz.
The music onset in the EEG data begins at approximately 5 s into each epoch.
