Chromosome Errors in Human Eggs and Natural Fertility

The overall aim of this project is to investigate chromosome errors in human oocytes as a function of age. We aimed to identify molecular mechanisms underpinning these errors and how they may shape the curve of natural fertility in humans.]]>
Recruitment and informed consent procedures followed national standards, including the option to withdraw consent at any time during the study, without this having any bearing on clinical treatment. No women or parents/guardians of girls under the age of 18 years withdrew their informed consent. For cohort 1, patients receiving ovarian cryopreservation treatment due to ovarian cancer or ovarian related disorders were not included in our study. For cohort 2, patients were included when receiving fertility treatment for male factor, tubal, or age associated infertilities.]]>
