资源简介:
The majority of these Licensing Registers incorporating both Metropolitan and Country areas are Particular Occasion Permits (P.O.P.).A P.O.P. is a permit allowing an extension of time for serving liquor, for a particular occasion or special occasion: New Years Eve, Dinner Dance, Wedding. P.O.P.'s are granted to licensed and unlicensed clubs, hotels and restaurants. The "extension" licence was a forerunner to P.O.P.'s. Extension permits started in 1968 with the introduction of the Liquor Control Act. By 1988 in excess of 20,000 P.O.P.'s were issued yearly. The series also contains Annual Permits for Cafes, Clubs, Booth Licenses and licenses for Public Halls. The arrangement is basically chronological within the registers with some single volumes recording specific license types at various intervals.
