This study is about exploring how FAT10 regulates the biological function of NPC and the tumor microenvironment. The result showed that the overexpression of FAT10 can specifically promote the angiogenesis progression within NPC cancer cells instead of normal cells via the upregulation of FGF2 and the activation of the NFKB pathway. The combination of FAT10 and CoREST may regulate the NFKB pathway. Additionally, this study revealed that FAT10 can also induce the differentiation of pro-angiogenic plasma cells within the tumor microenvironment via the secretion of MDK derived from tumor cells. Generally, this project first demonstrates the role of FAT10 in NPC, which may work as a marker for therapy targets.
