Snake River Basin Adjudication (SRBA) Reporting Areas

Reporting Areas were established by a Snake River Basin Adjudication (SRBA) Court Order to group one or more of IDWR's administrative basins for Director's reports of water right claims in the Snake River Basin Adjudication. IDWR proceeds for the most part in the reporting area sequence. The concept in 1992 was all of the claims in a reporting area would be reported at the same time following IDWR's investigation of the water right claims based on state law. The water right claims based on federal law (federal reserved water rights for the most part) are not investigated by IDWR but are transmitted to the Court in the director's report. Since 1996, IDWR has been granted permission from the SRBA Court to report each individual administrative basin separately and deviate slightly from the reporting sequence.
