资源简介:
Biosecurity is essential for producing healthy fish seed, yet its adoption in carp hatcheries and nurseries in Bangladesh remains uneven. This study documents the implementation of a baseline survey assessing biosecurity-related knowledge, attitudes, and practices (KAP) among hatchery and nursery operators. Data were collected through structured interviews and facility observations, covering hatchery characteristics, water sources, broodstock and seed management, disease risk perception, routine biosecurity and management practices, record keeping, constraints to adoption, training needs, and perceptions of regulatory support. The dataset provides a rich foundation for future analysis to identify gaps in biosecurity awareness and implementation and to inform capacity-building, technical assistance, and policy interventions aimed at improving fish seed quality, aquaculture productivity, and system resilience in Bangladesh.
