Biospheric Carbon Fluxes for the Shabunda Rainforest (2001–2025) Using VPRM

This dataset contains hourly biospheric carbon flux estimates for the Shabunda Rainforest, Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC), covering the spatial domain 27.09–27.50°E and 2.61–2.17°S. The dataset includes Net Ecosystem Exchange (NEE), Gross Primary Production (GPP), and Total Ecosystem Respiration (Reco) for the period 2001–2025. Fluxes were simulated using the Vegetation Photosynthesis and Respiration Model (VPRM) as implemented in pyVPRM v5.3, and optimized using eddy-covariance observations from the Yangambi flux tower (CD-Ygb). Data are distributed as annual NetCDF files named fluxes_[year].nc, with each file containing one year of hourly flux estimates.
