This dataset contains the replication files for the article “Conditions of Confinement: Do Harsher Prison Conditions Reduce Political Participation?” The repository includes datasets, replication code for all data cleaning/merges/analyses, and documentation providing critical details for replication. Raw voter file data and records from the Pennsylvania Department of Corrections are not included due to data usage agreements and privacy concerns. All analyses can be reproduced by running the provided scripts in the order described in the README file.
