Data and data dictionary for the non-destructive allometric modeling of Arthrocereus glaziovii
收藏资源简介:
This dataset contains the structural and volumetric variables used to develop a non-destructive allometric model for estimating the biomass of Arthrocereus glaziovii, an endangered rupicolous cactus endemic to the ferruginous rocky outcrops (canga) of Minas Gerais, Brazil. Data inventory:Arthrocereus_glaziovii_dataset_v2.csv: clean dataset containing the non-destructive predictors (Projected Area and Number of Branches) alongside biomass values and the second observer's independent area measurement.data_dictionary_v2.csv: data dictionary explaining every variable, units, type, and range in the main dataset. Version 2.0 corrects a calibration error identified in the image-to-area scale conversion used in Version 1.0. All Projected Area measurements were independently retaken under the corrected calibration protocol, blind to the original (v1.0) measurements and to the independent observer's measurements used for the inter-observer reliability analysis. Perimeter and Feret diameter, present in Version 1.0, were discontinued in this version because they were extracted under the original (uncorrected) scale and are therefore not commensurable with the corrected Area values; they were not used as predictors in the published model. This version (2.0) contains the dataset that underlies the analyses reported in the associated manuscript; Version 1.0 is retained for provenance but does not correspond to the published results.
