Minutes of Standing Committee meeting 2025-04 Local History and Genealogy Section Standing Committee Wednesday, 23 April 2025, 10:00 PM-11:00 PM Tokyo Time (Japan). Via Zoom 1. Member present were: Cherie Bush, Takashi Nagatsuka, Jennifer Brannock, Cristina Roiu, Jingzhu Wei, Joyce Jelks, Petro Coreejes-Brink, Wei Peng. The number of attendees is 8. Minutes from the previous meeting were approved by Cristina and seconded by Petro. 2. Elections- completed, voting is closed. Results by mid-May. In June/July will look for new chair and officers. 3. WLIC 2025 Kazakhstan- section meeting on Sunday. 4. Open Session- Title: Uniting Knowledge by Tasting the Past: What Culinary Collections Reveal About Local History and Culture. 5. Satellite Meeting- “Uniting Knowledge, Building the Future: Libraries Serving Multicultural Communities through Local History and Genealogy” 11 submissions. 6.
