Prohibited Areas

Current Effective Date: 0901Z 09 Jul 2026 to 0901Z 03 Sep 2026 This Prohibited areas airspace data is provided as a vector geospatial-enabled file format and depicted on Enroute charts. Prohibited areas contain airspace of defined dimensions within which the flight of aircraft, including drones, is prohibited. Such areas are established for security or other reasons associated with the national welfare. The dimensions of each prohibited area are defined in both area and altitude. These areas are published in the Federal Register and are depicted on aeronautical charts. Prohibited areas data is published every eight weeks by the U.S. Department of Transportation, Federal Aviation Administration-Aeronautical Information Services.
