THE ROLE OF MODERN ULTRASOUND TECHNOLOGIES IN OOCYTE RETRIEVAL DURING IVF AND OPPORTUNITIES FOR COMPLICATION PREVENTION

This article analyzes the role of color Doppler, three- and four-dimensional imaging, and needle-guidance technologies in the oocyte retrieval process. Five sources published between 2000 and 2024 were selected for the study. According to the reviewed literature, none of the existing technologies alone can eliminate complications; in particular, color Doppler proved less reliable than expected in predicting bleeding. Based on these findings, the study proposes a practical model that integrates the preparatory, procedural, and follow-up stages of the procedure.
