Abstract: Epilepsy is a brain disorder that can affect people of all ages, causing repetitive seizures and affecting patients\u2019 quality of life. Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) is one of the techniques that can support the diagnostic process to achieve the appropriate treatment. MRI supports identifying types of epilepsy and seizures. Accordingly, we offer 179 cases with 8763 labeled brain fluid-attenuated inversion recovery (FLAIR) MRI scans generated from King Abdulaziz University (KAU) Hospital. The amount of MRI images was increased to 17136 MRI scans using augmentation techniques. This dataset focuses on binary classification of adults\u2019 cases as either Focal epilepsy or Non-Focal epilepsy, where the second category is for cases that are clinically diagnosed with epilepsy with either non-lesional MRI or non-focality MRI.
