Metatranscriptomic dissection of rodent virome in northern Xinjiang

Zoonotic transmission from wildlife reservoirs poses an enduring threat to global public health. Rodents, as major reservoirs of emerging viruses, harbor immense viral diversity with significant potential for evolution and cross-species transmission, much of which remains poorly characterized. This study utilized metatranscriptomic analysis to investigate rodent samples collected from four distinct habitats in northern Xinjiang.
