Cormorant abundance, diets, and foraging activities in Arizona

Data contained here collected in natural and artificial waters across Arizona, USA, 2017-2019. The study focused on two species of cormorants, double-crested and neotropic cormorants, their foraging habits, seasonal numbers, and diet on fish. We highlight cormorant feeding habits across artificial waters in the community fishing program that are stocked with sportfish, and we examined environmental factors that may influence where cormorants congregate and feed at community waters. Data files included are estimated fish losses at community fishing waters (CFPs), habitat covariate data for CFP waters, cormorant feeding observations, and R code (and habitat data in CSV format) used to run the regression analysis.
