The Eastern Asia - Eastern North America disjunction revisited: a possible westward colonization route the via Western Palearctic in Carex sect. Paniceae (Cyperaceae)

In this study, our objectives are to (i) reevaluate the delimitation of sects. Paniceae s.s., Laxiflorae and Bicolores and consider its treatment as a single section or three independent groups; (ii) place the diversification of the groups within a temporal setting; and (iii) explore its biogeographic history with a particular emphasis on the Easter Asia-Eastern North America disjunction.
