Triclosan targeting of gut microbiome in high fat diet-fed mice

In this study, we investigated the effects of triclosan on gut microbiome in high fat diet (HFD)-induced NAFLD mice by 16S ribosomal RNA sequencing. C57BL/6J mice were fed with HFD for continuous 20 weeks and treated with triclosan at 400 mg/kg/d for 8 weeks.Group A fed with a normal diet for 20 weeks. Group B fed with a high-fat diet (HFD) for 20 weeks. Group C fed with a HFD for continuous 20 weeks and treated with triclosan from week 12 to week 20.
