A patient with infection associated with XDR Acinetobacter baumannii and Klebsiella pneumoniae was treated, as salvage therapy, with bacteriophages in conjunction with antibiotics. Tissue healing and eradication of positive cultures were rapidly observed, preventing leg amputation and enabling discharge to rehabilitation.
