This dataset contains <b>7281</b> example images of a <b>Rolling shutter</b>-based <b>Optical Camera Communication</b> Link. Those images are affected by <b>increasing exposure times</b>.Moreover, the transmitted symbol duration is <b>increased</b>. Both quantities are related to the <b>ESR</b> (Exposure to Symbol Ratio) that indicates how affected is the signal by the exposure time (ESR = symbol/exposure). The ESR ranges from 1 to 7 in steps of 0.5 units (i.e., the exposure time is 1 to 7 times the transmitted symbol time). Furthermore, the transmitted symbol time is related to the camera's row sampling frequency by the <b>NPPS</b> (Number of Pixels per Symbol) (NPPS = symbol/sampling). The NPPS ranges from 4 to 7 in steps of 0.5 units (i.e., the symbol time is 4 to 7 times the sampling frequency of the camera).The purpose of this dataset is to provide:A tool for <b>analyzing</b> how the exposure time affects the received signal.A tool for <b>validating</b> novel artificial-based approaches for the exposure equalization of the received signal.A tool for <b>validating</b> novel estimator models of the intrinsic parameters of the received signal.It contains a CSV file with the following columns:<i>sample_uuid</i>: UUID used to identify the image file.<i>relative_path</i>: Relative path where the image files can be found.<i>dims</i>: The image file dimensions (1080,1920,3)<i>tclk</i>: The reference clock tick used as the time resolution.<i>sampling_ticks</i>: The number of ticks for sampling period. (Sampling period = sampling_ticks * tclk)<i>exposure_ticks</i>: The number of ticks for the exposure time. (Exposure time = exposure_ticks*tclk)<i>txsymbol_ticks</i>: The number of ticks for the symbol duration. (Symbol duration = txsymbol_ticks*tclk)<i>npps</i>: The ratio between txsymbol_ticks and sampling_ticks<i>esr</i>: The ratio between exposure_ticks and txsymbol_ticks<i>camera_model</i>: The camera used (PiCamera V2)<i>analog_gain</i>: Analog gain of the camera.<i>digital_gain</i>: Digital gain of the camera.<i>awbg_gains</i>: Vector containing the relative gains of the blue and green vs the red channel. (Used to control the white image balance).<i>led_color</i>: Label for the lamp used.<i>power</i>: The power units of the signal.<i>power_reference</i>: Label for the power level unit.<i>modulation</i>: Modulation used. (On-Off Keying (OOK))<i>encoding</i>: The encoding strategy for the data. (NRZ Manchester encoding)<i>framing</i>: Framing strategy of the packets. (11111-ABC~C-0). This case represents five one-bit headers, followed by bit A, bit B, and bit C, then the NOT version of bit C (stuffed bit), and a zero-bit trailer.<i>data_length</i>: Length of the payload.<i>data</i>: The payload bits.
