资源简介:
Estrogens are known to be involved in the development of the sexually dimorphic zebra finch (Taeniopygia guttata) song-learning system, however the molecular mechanisms driving this dimorphism are poorly understood. Specific song-learning brain regions (RA, HVC, LMAN, and Area X) as well as their adjacent non-song-learning brain regions (LAi, HVC-shelf/Dorsal nidopallium, Lateral Nidopallium, and MSt, respectively) were collected and sequenced from 30 day old animals. Samples were collected from both males and females treated with either estradiol, exemestane (aromatase inhibitor) or vehicle. The goal of this work is to provide insight on the effects of estrogenic signaling in the developing zebra finch song system.
