Exposure to teflubenzuron reduces drought tolerance of collembolans

This is the raw data from an experiment investigating the effects of sequential exposure to a pesticide (teflubenzuron) and three abiotic stressors (heat, cold, and drought) on soil arthropods. We exposed adult collembolans (Folsomia candida) to teflubenzuron through food for two weeks. Then survivors were immediately divided into three groups for acute heat, cold, and drought exposure. After acute exposure to these natural stressors, the collembolans were moved to optimal conditions for a one-week recovery period during which their survival, time to regain reproduction, and egg production were examined., This study utilizes original data collected from the experiment comprehensively described in a related paper. This is the dataset for the sequential exposure experiment. First, the test animals were exposed to teflubenzuron through food for 14 days. Survivors continued to be exposed to four different levels of heat stress (33.5 ℃), cold stress (-5 ℃), or drought stress.

## Description of the data and file structure

There are four spreadsheets in the dataset, namely \"Heat\", \"Cold\", \"Drought\", and \"survival tfb\". The description of each spreadsheet is shown as follows.

**Sheet Heat** contains the survival and number of eggs during recovery and the time to regain reproduction for the heat stress (33.5 ℃) treatment.
