Description This dataset contains the comprehensive specifications and waveform parameters of the synthetic test signals used in the study "Comprehensive analysis of methods for RMS spectra computation in power grid measurements (9-150 kHz)" (DOI: 10.1016/j.epsr.2026.113905) published in the Electric Power Systems Research (EPSR) journal. The test waveforms in this dataset are synthetic signals designed to closely resemble real-world recordings from low-voltage distribution grids. To ensure full reproducibility and transparency, the data is organized in Excel files that detail the exact parameters of all analyzed waveforms. Specifically, signals 1 to 6 model conducted disturbances measured at the point-of-connection of Power Line Communication (PLC) smart meters to the grid, and therefore contain PLC bursts. Signals 7 to 10 are modeled to replicate the waveforms measured at the point-of-connection of electric vehicle charging stations, while signal 11 replicates the conducted emission at the point-of-connection of a photovoltaic inverter. These files provide the foundational information required to generate and reconstruct the synthetic test signals, following the waveform-generation methodologies and frameworks previously established in: A. For each signal X (from 1 to 11), the following files are provided: SyntheticSignalX_GenFile.xlsx: The parameters are meticulously structured into specific sheets to allow characterization and exact replication. Note that the waveform composition varies across the 11 signals, meaning that not all files contain every sheet type; instead, they adapt to the specific conducted emissions observed in low-voltage distribution grids. Narrowband emissions: Detailed parameters of stationary and time-varying narrowband components (central frequencies, amplitudes, bandwidths, variability percentages, and modulation periods). PLC OFDM bursts: Time-domain and amplitude profiling of PRIME-PLC Power Line Communication bursts (start/final times and signal levels). Colored Noise: Parameters defining the underlying background noise spectral shaping (AWGN levels, filter types, filter orders, and cut-off frequencies). Impulsive Noise: Specifications of transient, highly time-localized disturbances (central frequencies, amplitudes, bandwidths, and start/final times). SyntheticSignalX_PSD.png: Visual reference plot of the Power Spectral Density (PSD) of the generated grid signal environment. SyntheticSignalX_spectrogram.png: Visual reference plot of the time-frequency spectrogram tracking the non-stationary variations of the signal.
