DEPRESSD - Individual Patient Data Meta-Analysis Estimates the Minimal Detectable Change of the Geriatric Depression Scale-15

Objective: To estimate the minimal detectable change (MDC) of the Geriatric Depression Scale-15 (GDS-15).
Study Design and Setting: Data from an individual participant data meta-analysis on depression screening were used to estimate MDC using 1.41 (MDC67) and 2.77 (MDC95) standard errors of measurement (SEM). Subgroup analyses were used to evaluate differences by participant age and sex and meta-regression for study-level variables, including mean age, proportion male, proportion with major depression, and recruitment setting.
