Vanrija sp. CR7 Genome sequencing and assembly. Vanrija sp. CR7

In order to generate a draft genome of the nematode Rhabditoides inermis, we generated PacBio libraries from DNA of worms grown on a complex microbial community. During the assembly process, we identified a couple of contigs that most likely reflect a fungus of the genus Vanrija that is a component of this microbiota. Comparative genomic and phylogenetic analyses showed that this species is very similar to other Vanrija genomes and has very similar genome size and GC content.
