Comparisons of gene expression profiles of human hepatocytes (HepG2) infected or not by the bacterium Listeria monocytogenes (strain EGD-e expressing GFP) for 24 or 72 hours and use of Affymetrix microarrays. Samples noted S72h have been sorted by FACS. Overall design: We used Affymetrix arrays to identify the repertoire of genes differentially expressed after 1 or 3 days of infection with GFP-expressing Listeria. Infected and uninfected cells were directly used (a) or purified by FACS (S) prior to RNA extraction.
