VPRS 15585 Applications for Allotments for Sale, Bendigo District, Land Regulations 1873

Under Land Regulations 1873 made under Section 10 of the Land Act 1869, holders of Reidence and Cultivation Licenses under Section 49 of the Act could apply to have the land sold at public auction. The Minister could allow this after a year from the date of the first license if the land was not auriferous (i.e gold bearing) and if the conditions of the license had been fulfilled. A valuation was to be made of the improvements made by licensee.Details given are the date, the location and area of the land, the name and address of the applicant, the upset (i.e minimum) price per acre for the land, the name of the owner of the improvements and the amount of the valuation as well as the scheduled date for the sale. The remarks column may contain notes of the number and date of correspondence.
