Fuji Hubrax (Malus domestica) apple RNA sequencing

Malus domestica Fuji Hubrax is a Fuji-derived apple cultivar widely cultivated in the Republic of Korea. Fuji-type apples are widely grown due to their crisp texture, high sugar content, and good storage performance. In this study, transcriptome sequencing was performed to investigate gene expression patterns in peel tissues of the Fuji Hubrax apple under defined experimental conditions. Apple fruits were harvested at commercial maturity from orchard-grown trees and processed under controlled laboratory conditions. The peel tissues were rapidly prepared, frozen, and stored at low temperature prior to RNA extraction to preserve RNA integrity. High-quality total RNA was extracted and used for cDNA library preparation, and the libraries were sequenced using an Illumina high-throughput sequencing platform to generate paired-end transcriptome data. This dataset provides transcriptomic information on gene expression in Fuji Hubrax apple fruit tissues, contributing to genomic resources for Malus domestica and supporting comparative studies of metabolic, physiological, and regulatory processes in Fuji-type apples and related fruit crops.
