A comparative study of clinical and pathological data in patients with papillary thyroid cancer treated with gasless endoscopic thyroidectomy transaxillary approach versus gasless endoscopic thyroidectomy transsubclavian approach

This dataset reports 351 PTC patients who underwent surgical treatment by the same team of thyroid surgery at Yantai Yuhuangding Hospital affiliated with Qingdao University from August 2022 to August 2023. The study included 98 patients who underwent gasless endoscopic thyroidectomy transaxillary approach (GETTA group) and 253 patients who underwent gasless endoscopic thyroidectomy transsubclavian approach (GETTSA group). The data in this dataset were collected in the Thyroid Surgery Department of Yantai Yuhuangding Hospital affiliated with Qingdao University and approved by the Ethics Committee of Yantai Yuhuangding Hospital affiliated with Qingdao University. The inclusion criteria for patients in this dataset are: (a) same surgical team, (b) first thyroid surgery, (c) postoperative pathological confirmation of PTC, (d) unilateral curative thyroid cancer, (e) PTC diameter<4 cm, and (f) strong cosmetic needs in the neck. The exclusion criteria are: (a) history of neck surgery, (b) history of neck radiation therapy, (c) lateral cervical lymph node metastasis, (d) tumor invasion of adjacent organs, and (e) concurrent distant metastasis.
