Optimizing Outcomes in Phacoemulsification: Addressing Intraoperative and Postoperative Complications in a Case Series from Iraq

The manuscript presents a retrospective analysis of 31 cases of phacoemulsification cataract surgeries performed at a private clinic in Baghdad. The study reports visual acuity outcomes, highlighting a significant improvement postoperatively despite complications like posterior capsular rupture (PCR) and elevated intraocular pressure (IOP). Through a systematic review, the manuscript contextualizes these results within broader literature, emphasizing effective complication management strategies. This study underscores phacoemulsification's effectiveness while suggesting further refinement in surgical and postoperative protocols for high-risk patients.
