The present invention relates to a multilaminar paper containing cellulose fibres and to a process for manufacturing same， comprising adhesive bonding between different layers of this paper with the addition of from 0.5 to 1.5 g/m2 of microfibrillated cellulose (MFC) having a mean diameter preferably less than 250 nanometres， resulting in a paper in which starch is completely replaced， which has a final density that varies in the range of 60 to 440 g/m2， and which has improved mechanical strength properties while using smaller quantities of raw material.
