NRS-4039 | Pre-school returns

This series consists of returns showing the age of pre-school pupils at government schools. The returns are made on two forms - "Census of pre-school pupils" completed each March (prior to 1979 each April) and "Age distribution of pupils - pre-school pupils" completed each July (prior to 1981 each August). For the year 1985 only there is a third form - "Age distribution of aboriginal pupils - pre-school pupils". The census forms give the number of full day and half day pupils. The age distribution forms give the number of boys and girls and the number of full day and half day pupils. The pre-school returns for the period 1973-76 and Aboriginal pre-school returns for the year 1986 will be found at 12/14216-17 and 12/14218.1 respectively in the series Returns of age grade distributions for Special Schools. 1970-72, 1976-85 (12/14218.2-14219). 2 boxes (part).
