South East Weeds Action Program: Protecting Priority Sites - Weereewa Valley - Project 2

The project will build on achievements of Stage 1 and continue a management programme focused on controlling invasive species impacting on sites with threatened ecological communities and species in the Weereewa Valley to support the regional South East Weeds Action Program. Five priority sites with Box-gum Woodland and/or Natural Temperate Grassland will be targeted, including the endangered Hoary Sunray plant. Weeds of National Significance, including Serrated Tussock and Blackberry, will be controlled and surveys for feral cats, foxes and wild dogs will inform control programmes to protect Koalas and Spot-tailed Quolls.
