Midwives play a critical role in providing holistic intrapartum care, ensuring the physical, emotional, and psychological well-being of pregnant women during childbirth. Adverse events during intrapartum care, such as maternal deaths and stillbirths, can have a profound emotional, psychological, and professional impact on midwives. Despite their critical role in maternity care, there is limited understanding of the specific support needs of midwives following such events.
