Share of the French using a cup as menstrual protection 2021, by professional status

While the Minister of Higher Education has decided to install menstrual protection dispensers in universities for the start of the academic year 2021, menstruation has recently been highlighted in the media and politics. It is in this context that the source wanted to know more about the uses of menstruating people in terms of sanitary protection. Yet, it appears that, although new types of menstrual protection have appeared in recent years, such as the cup, period panties, or washable protection, they are still used relatively rarely. In 2021, only 14 percent of executives used menstrual cups, compared to eight percent of workers and employees.
