The impact of delay in time to surgical treatment of Merkel cell carcinoma on overall survival and disease specific survival: a population-based analysis

The aim of our study is to determine whether delays between diagnosis and surgical treatment of Merkel Cell Carcinoma (MCC) are associated with changes in overall survival (OS) and disease-specific survival (DSS). Using the Surveillance, Epidemiology, and End Results Program (SEER) database, our data does not show that delays are associated with worse OS or DSS.
