Dual enrichment experiment in digestate and soil

N2O is a very strong greenhouse gas, which can destroy the ozone layer. Reducing N2O emissions has become a research hotspot. N2O reducing bacteria are the only known organisms that reduce N2O in nature. In this study, we tried to isolate efficient N2O reducing bacteria from anaerobic fermentation digestate to reduce N2O emissions from farmland soil. Through metagenomics and isolation culture technology, we obtained some N2O sinks and tested their N2O emission reduction effects in different farmland soils.
