Tracking records of black vulture nests 'Aegypyus monachus' in Andalusia. Recovery and conservation plan for necrophagous birds. Period 2008-2020

Annual monitoring data of nests of black vulture 'Aegypyus monachus' in Andalusia for the period 2008-2020. Framed within the scope of the 'Plan of recovery and conservation of necrophagous birds', approved by Agreement of January 18, 2011, of the Governing Council. The Plan establishes protection measures for three endangered species: Boneless vulture, royal milano and alimoche, and another vulnerable, the black vulture. The species is listed as 'Vulnerable' according to Decree 23/2012, of February 14, which regulates the conservation and sustainable use of wild flora and fauna and their habitats.

The data are collected in table format with information regarding the name of the species, nest coordinates (EPSG:3042), name of the territory, annuity, coverage, name of the territory, nest code, substrate, age of the nest, number of nests, cause of abandonment, cause of reproductive failure, age of the couple, chickens born, chickens flown, threatened, type of management, land use, reproductive success and observations.
