methionine, choline-deficient diet (MCD) is a representative animal model of nonalcoholic steatohepatitis, however, a mouse-fed MCD diet showed drastic weight loss (about 40 %) due to the dysbiosis of nutrient metabolism. Therefore we tried to modify the MCD diet by changing the lipid source, marginally addition of methionine, and addition of fructose.
