JSMel: Public-domain melody subset (547 songs)

This repository provides the publicly accessible portion of the JSMel dataset, containing symbolic melody data for 547 public-domain (PD) songs from contemporary Japan. Each melody is represented as two symbolic sequences stored as text files:(1) a pitch sequence encoding note pitches, including octave information, and(2) a duration sequence encoding note and rest values relative to a quarter note. The repository also includes metadata for all 960 songs in the dataset. Melody data for non-public-domain songs are not included in this open release but are available separately through a restricted-access repository.
