One of the measures for the conditionality of CAP aid concerns the Environnemtal Covered Surface (SCE), which must be established as a priority along watercourses. Thus, the SCE located outside the watercourses can never replace the obligation to schedule watercourses. It only makes it possible to supplement the environmental covers located along the rivers to meet the 3/97 threshold of base A of the holding.

— the rivers in full blue line on the IGN maps at the most recent 1/25 000th of the department
— the complementary rivers listed by prefectural decree or, in the absence of a supplementary list, watercourses in dotted blue dashed and bearing a name on the IGN maps in the most recent 1/25000th of the department

dimensions of surfaces under environmental cover:
— a minimum width of 5 m
— a maximum width of 10 m or any other width defined by the Prefectural Order
— a minimum surface area of 5 ares.

The layout of the bcae is the one that made it possible to produce the maps of the by-laws. This route at 1/25 000 was upgraded to the regional repository of police watercourses in 2015 by the Ddtm59, in order to clarify the route and facilitate the instruction. The regulatory information remains the one that led to the development of the Order.
