Microbial communities in Populus litter decomposition

This dataset includes raw sequencing data of soil microbial communities obtained from a litter decomposition experiment under combined ozone and nitrogen enrichment. The experiment used leaf and fine root litter from two Populus species with different ozone sensitivities. Samples were incubated under four decomposition environments with varying ozone and nitrogen levels. Soil microbial DNA was extracted after different decomposition periods, and bacterial and fungal communities were analyzed using high-throughput sequencing of the 16S rRNA and ITS regions.The dataset provides insights into how atmospheric pollution and nutrient addition jointly influence microbial composition and function during litter decomposition.
