Transcriptomic analysis of muscle and skin of wild-type and pearlscale goldfish

Here, we leverage and compare bulk RNA-seq data from the muscle and skin of juvenile wild-type and ornamental pearlscale goldfish (Carassius auratus) to elucidate the differential transcriptomic profile that may be corresponding to the highly globular body shape of the pearlscale goldfish strain. The samples were sequenced on an Illumina NextSeq 2000 platform P2 flow cell (150 bp, paired-end reads) at the NGS High Throughput Genomics Core at Academia Sinica, Taipei, Taiwan.
