Determine the molecular pathways underlying the antitumor effect of vitamin D analog on xenografts from a patient with docetaxel resistant CRPC. Overall design: PDX-G266 mice, a model of CRPC. The tumors from mice treated with vehicle or with a combinatory regimen including a single administration of docetaxel and a daily treatment with 0.3 µg/kg/day Xe4MeCF3 (a vitamin D analog) for 14 days (termed co-treatment) were analyzed .
