The Medical Detailing Program (MDP) was established to promote informed contraceptive choice and motivate health providers to offer birth spacing counseling to ensure correct and continuous use of modern contraceptiv methods in order to reduce unplanned and ill-timed pregnancies in Cambodia. To assess the quality of their consultation facilities and practices regarding birth spacing counseling, mystery clients report on providers' knowledge of birth spacing methods and ability to recommend an appropriate method.
