Study on Bacterial Colonization in Cyanobacterial Aggregate Microhabitats (PRJCA042187)

This project focuses on the colonization process of bacteria on cyanobacterial aggregates in eutrophic lakes. By investigating the morphological characteristics of bacterial colonization and the succession patterns of bacterial communities, we employ random forest and neural network techniques to identify differences in community composition between attached bacteria (on aggregates) and free-living planktonic bacteria (in the water column). The study aims to elucidate the ecological significance of attached bacteria in the proliferation and decline of cyanobacterial blooms.
