SOLVING ACCOUNTING ERRORS IN SMALL BUSINESSES THROUGH CLOUD-BASED AUTOMATION TOOLS

This study examines the role of cloud-based automation tools in reducing accounting errors in small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). The research analyzes common accounting mistakes, including duplicate entries, misclassification, timing discrepancies, reconciliation gaps, and compliance-related errors. Based on a review of accounting literature, internal control frameworks, and digital transformation practices, the study evaluates how automated bank feeds, rule-based transaction categorization, reconciliation tools, and audit trails improve financial accuracy and operational efficiency. The findings indicate that cloud-based accounting systems significantly enhance internal controls, reduce manual processing risks, improve regulatory compliance, and strengthen financial transparency. The study concludes that the adoption of cloud accounting solutions contributes to sustainable business growth and more reliable financial management in SMEs.
