Priority Cluster Areas Identified in Manville Borough’s 2018 Acquisition Action Plan

The purpose of this data was to prioritize flood-prone properties in the Borough of Manville for potential acquisition and mitigation efforts. The dataset was created to assist the Borough in developing a multi-year action plan that would guide the pursuit of FEMA Hazard Mitigation Assistance (HMA) funding and other relevant grants. By identifying and ranking clusters of properties, the Borough aimed to streamline its approach to managing repetitive loss and severe repetitive loss properties, ensuring an effective and equitable use of resources.
Priority cluster areas later informed the creation of Disaster Risk Reduction Areas (DRRAs), which impact state-led funding availability in the DRRAs. The purpose of including the PCAs is to inform the public about the precedent upon which the DRRA policy was based.
