资源简介:
Cohort:

241 participants, including 182 cases with hypertension and 59 healthy controls. Among the hypertensive cases, there are 36 diagnosed with basal septal hypertrophy (BSH). Age range: 35-66, averages: Control - 36 (range: 35-40), Hypertensive/no BSH - 56 (40-66), Hypertensive with BSH - 58 (42-66).

Terms:

Please acknowledge this source of data and associated publication:

M Marciniak et al. “Septal Curvature as a Robust and Reproducible Marker for Basal Septal Hypertrophy”
Methods:
The endocardial contours were obtained from 241 cases, using EchoPAC software (GE Vingmed, Horten, Norway). The contour was interpolated using the Rbf method. Curvature values were calculated using the analytical definition. The average value of curvature of the 30% of the contour along the basal and mid segments was calculated to generate the Average Septal Curvature index. The basal and mid- septal segments as well as the basal septal strain were also measured by a trained clinician according to the EACVI guidelines.

Data shared:

Contours.zip where each case has the endocardial contour exported from the EchoPAC for a single cardiac cycle. It is stored in the default format, where each row is a contour in a single frame, and every point is described with X and Y positions (2 adjacent columns in a row) given in millimeters.

Curvatures.zip where each case has the curvature, measured along the interpolated contour in each frame of the cardiac cycle, given in 1/mm.

Measurement.zip, with the measurements performed by clinicians and the calculated coefficients are stored in a single table.
